Introduction to Quantum Computing Basics: A Pluralsight Guide

Throughout 2020, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Pluralsight on several projects, primarily in the cloud computing space. However, I also had the chance to work on a couple guides for them on topics in quantum computing and programming. Here’s the introduction from the first one:

Companies like Microsoft, Google, IBM, and Amazon are investing heavily in quantum computing research and even starting to build out public cloud services that offer access to quantum hardware. Given all the hype, you may be wondering what it's all about and whether you should be paying attention.

This guide will cover the basic premise of quantum computing, as well as where it came from and where it is headed. This guide will also point you in the direction of next steps to take if you decide that quantum computing is something you want to explore further.

It also goes into the topics of quantum computing history, superposition, entanglement, and potential future use cases, and includes examples from theoretical chemistry/material design and plant biology.

The guide is publicly available, and can be viewed here: Introduction to Quantum Computing Basics!
